Tiree 'n' Tyrina is a Grade II listed fisherman's cottage, in an envious location, in a quiet street, minutes away from the beach, harbour, pier, restaurants and shops. Like many traditional Looe cottages, the staircases are a bit narrow and steep, one of the twin rooms is accessed via the master bedroom, the bathrooms show previous owners tastes and how they have evolved with the house. Every effort has been made to make this self-catering cottage a comfortable and clean home away from home.
The house is rumoured to be 16th century, it has some lovely character features, exposed oak beams , a very old back door which has carved initials on it, listed sash windows, a face carved into the beam in the stairwell, inglenook fireplace which was supposedly used for smoking pilchards, we are currently researching more history of the property and hope to leave some information in the cottage.
The whole cottage is centrally heated, so you will be nice and warm on cooler evenings.
A travel cot for little ones is available and stairgates. (bedding not supplied approx size 60cm x120cm), we ensure there is sufficient cleaning supplies for your stay.
We do supply a welcome basket to get you started, includes tea, coffee, sugar, biscuits, milk, toilet roll and hand soap.
If you want to stay in a traditional character property and you have a large family - this is the one for you.
